Danny Ripley

Danny started Rip-Tide with the unquestioned support of his family at the age of 17. Danny has twenty-five years of fly fishing experience to aid customers, particularly with the following species: Atlantic salmon, Striped Bass, and Trout. Besides being the owner, Danny ties flies, and answers all technical questions that customers may have about gear, and accessories. He also teaches Rip-Tide's fly tying classes. When making website inquires, Danny will be the person responding to your requests.

Besides running Rip-Tide, Danny is the project manager for the Cumberland County River Enhancement Association (CCREA), which is a chapter of Trout Unlimited Canada. In this position, Danny leads and oversees all aspects of the CCREA's freshwater habitat restoration programs for native brook trout and Atlantic salmon. Rip-Tide also provides office space for the CCREA. All the staff at Rip-Tide, and a lot of our customers, are involved in CCREA's projects. It is our belief here at Rip-Tide that all of us who make any kind of living from our natural resources, or enjoy them, have an implied responsibility to enhance, restore, and protect those resources that give us so much, and are an integral part of our lives. If we can't protect it, and stand up for it, no one will.
